Broken Fears

About the Artist
Broken Fears is a compound of two words with negative connotations that, when brought together, form a positive and hopeful meaning. It reflects the core intention of my work as an artist: to encourage people to face their own fears and move through them, in order to grow into the most authentic version of themselves.
I am an interdisciplinary artist working at the intersection of music, performance, and film. Themes of self-exploration, personal growth, and the search for self-love run through most of my songs. My work is inspired by inner tensions, vulnerability, silence, and transformation — by what often remains unseen, yet deeply felt.
Musically, I am driven by curiosity and a constant desire to grow and challenge boundaries. I blend the emotional depth of soul with elements of pop, jazz, gospel, rock, R&B, funk, blues, and hip-hop, allowing different cultural influences to coexist within my sound. Influenced by artists such as Aretha Franklin, Prince, Michael Jackson, Kate Bush, Stevie Wonder, and Wayne Snow, my music is led by voice and piano, carrying a vintage character while remaining rooted in the present. My aim is to create music that offers a sense of hope rather than leaving the listener in darkness.
Alongside singing, I play several instruments. I have a strong command of the piano, solid skills on guitar, bass guitar, and drums, and I am largely self-taught. As an authentic and honest performer, I deeply value being on stage and engaging with my audience. One of my greatest strengths lies in my connection to my own vulnerability — it allows me to meet listeners on a deeper, more human level and to create moments of genuine connection.
As an independent artist, support plays an essential role. It enables me to work freely, develop new projects, and sustain cultural work even in times when visibility or live performance is not guaranteed. Every form of support helps this work exist, grow, and continue to be shared.
